
Day
1: HA NOI
Arriving
at Noi Bai airport. Transfer to hotel. Visit Hanoi "The city
situated on the side of Red river." Walk in the residential
district where was the Presidential Palace, the house and the mausoleum
of Ho Chi Minh, the One-Pillar pagoda. Next, we will visit the museum
of ethnology, Quan Thanh temple and Tran Quoc pagoda established
by the West lake, the temple of literature (the first university
of Vietnam in the 11th century) and Ngoc Son temple. In the late
afternoon, we go by cyclo in the old quarter. Have lunch and dinner
in city. In the evening: water puppet show. Night at hotel.
Day
2: HA NOI - HA LONG
Departure for Ha Long. On arrival in Bai Chay- Halong, embarking
on a traditional junk. Have lunch with fresh seafood on board. Then
we start cruising by junk for a half- day to visit grottoes, fishing
villages and beach. This is a junk in wood of 30 m long and and
10 m large that is propelled by two magnificent veils and two other
japanese motors of 45 horses' power each. It has been constructed
following the traditional methods by the fishers in Ha Long. Currently
it is one of three privileged junks that can offer you a cruise
on board for several days in Halong bay instead of the usual cruise
for some hours by normal boats. It is often reserved by V.I.P, the
embassy groups in Hanoi or the customers of famous hotels as Sofitel,
Hilton...The cabins are spacious with luxury furniture and arranging
toilet and shower. For the best conditions of comfort, the junk
can only accept about ten passengers. The cabin has a ventilated
fan. Air-conditioning is not necessary, the Halong bay is favorable
with special climatic condition. Dinner and night on board.
Day
3: HA LONG - HAI PHONG - HANOI
If
Hanoi was Thang Long, "Ascending Dragon", the Halong bay,
"Descending Dragon". This name is originated from a legend
explaining the present of its rocky peaks that are the remains from
a fierce battle of a great dragon. The fantastic peaks cutting the
horizon in bluish teeth or sunken mountains which emerge only their
summits, caves and grottoes where the streams disappear, game of
mists and clouds. The most typical is that these peaks with the
strange shapes seem floating on the surface of water and here the
silence of This spreads sea dominates everywhere, sometimes broken
by the scream of a sea bird. We continue to cruise on the bay for
a half- day. Lunch on board. Debarking at noon then we go to Hai
Phong, the city with French colonial style is very famous for its
streets and avenues edged by flaming. Visit Du Hang pagoda, Hang
Kenh Communal House. Return to Hanoi. Dinner and night at hotel

4: HA NOI - HOA LU -TAM COC - BICH DONG - HA NOI
Departure
for Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century.
Visit the commemorative temple dedicated to Dinh and Le kings. Have
lunch at Tam Coc. An excursion by boat on Ngo Dong river that snakes
between karstic hills and rice fields in a marvelous . landscape
often called "Ha Long on land". Visiting Bich Dong pagoda
which is situated on the flank of hills. Return to Ha Noi. Dinner
and night at hotel

5: HA NOI - PERFUME PAGODE- HA NOI
Departure for the Perfume pagoda, one of the most beautiful sites
of Vietnam. The pagodas and temples are perched on the flank of
chalky mountain whose architecture integrates perfectly with a very
lush nature. Take a sampan which drive you on the Yen river to the
root of the Perfume mountain, but according to the rules of pilgrimage,
a stopover should be made at the Trinh temple to ask the Genius
-guardian permission to pursue our journey. Then you will need a
3 hours round-trip to climb up to the Huong Tich pagoda, an immense
cave where stalactites and stalagmites form candelabra and altars.
Have lunch there. Return to Hanoi. Dinner and night at hotel.
Day
6: HA NOI - HUE
Transfer
to Noi Bai airport and fly to Hue. On arrival in Hue, we will discover
the ancient capital of the Nguyen emperors in 19th century. It possesses
the palaces and the most luxurious royal tombs of South Asia and
the most charming gardens. With the Perfume river, the harmonious
hills, Hue is always the city of poetry. We visit the imperial citadel,
old trading districts and Dong Ba central market. Lunch in city,
dinner and night at hotel. In the evening: an imperial dances show.
Day
7: HUE
Cruising by boat on Perfume river to visit Thien Mu pagoda with
its famous octagonal tower dominating the river, Hon Chen temple,
tombs of Minh Mang, Tu Duc & Khai Dinh emperors located in the
charming sites with the pines and the sprinkled ponds. Lunch on
board, dinner in city. Night at hotel.
Day
8: HUE - DA NANG - HOI AN
Departure
for Da Nang and Hoi An. Climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds,
a spectacular mountainous road. In Da Nang, we visit the museum
of Cham that contains the most important collection of Cham's sculptures
in Vietnam. Have lunch. Leaving for Hoi An, a pretty town which
was known as FaiFo, one of the most prosperous harbour of Asia in
17th century. The Chinese temples, the pagodas and the houses of
the rich merchants are remarkable. Discover the city: central market
Hoi An, Tan Ky house, Japanese bridge and Phuc Kien temple. Dinner
and night at hotel.
Day
9: HOI AN - DA NANG - NHA TRANG
Transfer to Danang airport for a short flight to Nha Trang. Nha
Trang- the second center of Cham with the Po Nagar towers (between
the 8th and the 13th century). Take a walk to Xom Bong bridge located
at the mouth of Cai river. There you enjoy the beautiful panorama
of harbour with its wooden boats in blue and red. Dinner and night
at hotel
Day
10: NHA TRANG
We
start cruising to Hon Tre (the Bamboo island). It is the biggest
island with its 25 square km. Here the fishers work at night with
the light of lamps intended to attract the squid, the stripes and
the tunas populating the seafloor. At night, the China sea is spangled
by the myriad of boats'light look like a strange floating city.
This island has a pretty beach (Bay Tru - swimming). We will then
walk toward Hon Mieu island that has 2 fishing villages with about
2 000 inhabitants. The transfer from your boat to this small harbour
is operated by a big floating basket plaited in bamboo, called "Thung
Chai" in Vietnamese. We walk on foot through the village to
the small natural harbour. On arrival, what a true delight to see!
Have lunch with seafood at HAI DAO floating restaurant, nearby the
wharf. In the afternoon, departure for the islands of Hon Mot and
Hon Mun that are famous for their seafloor. We return to Nha Trang
. Dinner and night at hotel
Day
11 : NHA TRANG- PHAN THIET- MUI NE
Leave Nha Trang by road for Phan Thiet. Nearer to Phan Thiet the
terrain changes to arid semi-desert with cactus plants and strange
looking dragon fruit trees. Arrive in Mui Ne and check into resort.
The rest of day is free to relax by the pool or on the sandy beach.
Lunch in city, dinner and night at hotel.
Day
12 : MUI NE - PHAN THIET- SAI GON
Leave
Nha Trang by road for Phan Thiet. Nearer to Phan Thiet the terrain
changes to arid semi-desert with cactus plants and strange looking
dragon fruit trees. Arrive in
Mui Ne and check into resort. The rest of day is free to relax by
the pool or on the sandy beach. Lunch in city, dinner and night
at hotel. Leave Mui Ne by road for Sai Gon. The scenic 200km drive
south on Highway One passes through the bustling city of Bien Hoa
after cutting through dense rubber plantations. On arrival take
a city tour to visit the dynamic Ho Chi Minh- City, still called
Saigon by many local people, the former Presidential Palace, Notre
Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office of Sai Gon, Thien Hau pagoda
and Ngoc Hoang temple located in the bustlle Chinatown. Dinner and
night at hotel
Day
13: SAI GON - VINH LONG - SAI GON- FLIGHT OF RETURN
Departure for Mekong delta, an immense and fertile plain that constitutes
a basket rice of Vietnam. A journey by boat from Cai Be to Vinh
Long, visit the floating market Cai Be. Have lunch at bonsai garden
of Mr Nguyen Thanh Giao. Return to Sai Gon. Free at leisure until
transfer to Tan San Nhat airport for onward flight. And of tour.
